I really like the way that Dave Ramsey approaches personal finance. I've changed a lot about how I do things to be more inline with his ideas about money management. We are steadily working to pay off our debts and not buying anything that we can't pay cash for out of our budget. His book is worth reading, and his website is good if you don't mind some ads about best term life insurance rates. The link is to something else, but he pushes Zander insurance.
