If I told you that you would happily pay for something that you never use, and not only that, but that if someone told you that you might have to use it, it would frighten you, you'd probably think I was nuts. (or that I need to work on my run on sentences) Either way, you probably wouldn't be thinking of you home insurance.

It is completely necessary but it is sometimes interesting to look at things from a totally different perspective just to be sure that you aren't falling prey to some societal subliminal magic.

In this case we're not, but can you think of a case in which turning things on their head mentally like this changed your mind about something?
