Brown Out
I learned the other day that other disgruntled Brown's fans are planning a protest for the Monday night game on the 16th of November. If you are there it will probably resemble a
Mopar parts convention in the parking lot at kick off.
The idea is that the fans plan to embarrass ownership by having an empty stadium at kickoff on a nationally televised game. Personally, I hope they pull it off and that it makes a big stink. The fans deserve better than the product they are getting on the field.
Bad Draft?
Honestly, if the Browns don't have a good draft next year, they are toast for at least 5 more seasons. They have no talent and frankly there is just nothing to build on right now. I mean, almost every first round pick in the last ten years is either out of football or on some other team now. It's like they are just picking names out of a hat. "Let's see here, looks like some guy named Dermun
diet pillstinker is our next pick. Woo hoo, I wonder who he is?"
Seriously guys, get it together, the fans are tired of waiting.
Good Idea?
It would seem like a good idea to own a rental property in these times. Especially one with options for short leases. (or none at all). Many people are working to get out of or into houses right now and these transition folks could make you a lot money potentially?
Anyone out there doing this? How has business increased or decreased in the last year? It would be interesting to know the trends. I haven't personally seen a lot of
apartments for rent but I haven't been looking either so I'm curious.
No Idea Why
This just in, the Browns are still terrible. Ten years after rejoining the league, the team is no closer to establishing itself as a viable franchise than it was when it started. I'm not sure I know what the problem is but I wish that they would hurry up and get it fixed.
I mean, I expect to see
dark circles under eyes of all the Browns execs before the draft next spring. I want to see progress people. Real progress and I don't want it to disappear after one season either.
Cost
I saw on the news the other day how the same house in different areas of the country can have a significant cost difference. Of course, this isn't really a suprise to anyone but it's still interesting to see that a four bedroom 2300 square foot house in San Fran, will cost almost $500,000 but will go for about $120,000 in Lansing Michigan.
Let's say you have a good job in San Fran and your company get's moved to Lansing. You take your $350,000 in equity and start house shopping. Can you imagine how much house and land you could get for the same price? Pretty amazing. Probably not much less than your
cheap hotels miami. You could probably buy your own high rise!
Bummed And Windy
I'm feeling really bad for Chicago today. I agree, that Rio should have gotten the bid for the 16 Olympics, but it does really stink in a way. Just like I was in the market for future
Orlando vacations to go to Disney, I had harbored hopes of driving the 8 hours to Chicago in a few years and getting to experience to Olympics first hand.
More importantly my kids would have been old enough to go as well and understand. That would have been really cool. Well, here's hoping that 2020 might fall to Chicago. That might be even better as our kids would all be teens or close to it by then.
Back At It
Well I made it back to the gym this week. The past month has been really crazy and so I missed a lot of time, but now I'm back on track. Tired and sore, but back on track.
I'm still not sure what I should be doing but I think I will probably continue to try to get better at push ups, pull ups and chin ups, because it annoys me that I'm not better at them than I am.
The key is finding the right workout plan for them and being consistent. If you pick the wrong one it can be about as fun as investing in
weight loss pills for marathoners.
