restaur-RANT
My previous post reminds me of how much I hate the word "restaurant". It is one of my least favorite words in the world because I cannot, no matter how hard I try, remember how to spell it correctly. It's right up there with "guarantee".
I have a nearly 100% failure rate on spelling both of those words correctly the first time, and it is entirely due to the fact that my brain can't get a handle on which part of the word the "au" and "ua" combos go in. I have second guessed myself so many times that even my little memory tricks that I use to help me remember things have failed.
Clipping Costs
We have found that saving money on groceries can be a very affective tool when it comes to cutting spending. We spend a lot of money on food as a society, and it can be an easy way to generate a lot of instant income if you find affective ways to limit it.
Obviously, stop eating out, or at least limit it to maybe once a month for big restaurants and a few times for fast food. Budget for these things and keep the cost down as much as possible.
If your gonna
guess coupons is my next suggestion, then you are right. Coupons can be a bit overwhelming at first but there are a lot of blogs out there that do all the leg work for you and just tell you where to go with which coupons to get the best deals. Start small at first and don't fall into the trap of buying things that are a great deal just because it's a great deal. One penny is too much to pay for something you don't really need.
Nike Plus vs Garmin
I'm thinking that I'm going to buy a Nike Plus. I already have a nano touch, and I'm working on trying to get a pair of Nike running shoes that you can put the sensor in. It seems like that would work well for me but my sister recently showed me her Garmin running watch.
That thing seemed pretty cool, and it doesn't care which shoes you are wearing. Cost wise, it's more for me considering that I would spend $50 to get the remaining equipment needed for Nike Plus, and $160 for a Garmin.
Has anyone tried both? Which is better? What are the advantages and disadvantages?
Garmin
A strange set of circumstances has had me looking a lot at Garmins the last few days. First off, my sister showed me her GPS training watch that helps her keep track of miles and pace. I had no idea that they made those. Then our friends showed us their in car navigation unit. Also something pretty cool that I'd like to have.
Now I find out that they have a
garmin gps for golf. That would be really cool. I had an app once that was supposed to do that but I found it less than reliable.
