Ever wonder how some sports uniforms got the way they are? For instance, why is it that baseball players were short pants and long socks or
baseball cuff links? Why do some golfers look like they just left a bad circus?
I have to believe that at the time those sports started, the clothes in question were probably quite normal and in style. Then a combination of superstition and tradition took over and here we are looking at clothes that no sane person would wear by choice outside of the sports arena
More Deterents
As if there weren't enough reasons to
stop smoking... The company just sent out an email that the door to the smoking area will now be locked and smokers will be required to exit out the front door and walk around the building to get to it. I'm not a smoker but I have to imagine that the benefits of smoking, whatever they are, are starting to look less and less appealing to a lot of people.
It's become pretty apparent in America that smoking isn't wanted anymore. Sure you can do it, but we're going to make you suffer for it as much as we possibly can. Never has a negative mud slinging campaign been more effective than the fight against smoking. I really think it might disappear in the near future.
