What is it: Fenphedra
Time for another edition of what in the world is it. This time we are looking at the word
Fenphedra.
My first thought is that this is some sort of drug or pill and given the haphazard way that they name those things it's anyones guess as to what it could be.
Maybe it's a weight loss drug or even a multi-vitamin. Who ever would know.
Then again I might be way off. It could be a rock band or even a country in the south pacific.
So what is it really? Turns out I was right on, it's a weight loss gimic, er I mean supplement.
OSU vs Florida, again
So have you heard the one about the
life insurance salesman? Me neither.
Looks like the NIT might have a NCAA rematch from a year ago. Both OSU and Florida are in the JV final four. Personally I hope we beat Florida this time but given the choice I would rather have had the win last year. We did beat them during the regular season which was nice but this would be pretty cool too.
WVU played terrible last night in the waining moments of the game and threw away what looked like a sure victory at one point. I wasn't very pleased, but I knew that they were in trouble when their best player fouled out with 4 minutes left.
Dilbert
The Dilbert comics on my daily calendar lately have been pretty funny. I know that the calendars are just a rerun of the strips from a few years ago but they are old enough that I don't remember them now. Anyway, Dilbert has been doing
drug treatment on his coworkers, with pills he bought over the internet. Try and pretend like you haven't known exactly which pills a coworker has needed at some point in time. ;) Anyway, they gave me a good laugh so I suppose that that is the only point.
The Economy
I have a feeling that the only stocks that are up right now are the Maalox and Rolaids stocks as
commodity brokers are feeling the crunch of the Bear breakdown in an already messed up economy. I'm sure the white house is counting on the upcoming tax rebates to stimulate the economy but when you have the kind of people in office that think that spending 42 million dollars on mailers to let people KNOW about the rebates is a good idea, then you start to fear for our future. Put the announcements on TV and save the mailers. Use that money to make the rebates bigger or do something else to help. Please just engage one or two more brain cells if you wouldn't mind.
The Bucks
OSU beat Cal last night in it's second round game of the NIT. It's nice to see them making something of their post season despite not getting into the NCAA tourny. Apparently they aren't suffering from
Orovo detox or anything like it.
Hopefully they will make their way back into the tourny next season. I'm kind of wondering if Terrell Pryor will plan to play a little basketball at OSU while he is there. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
Dentist
I have to go to the dentist today. I hate going to the dentist. Not only is the cleaning uncomfortable and annoying but there is the chance of having another cavity. I didn't have my first cavity until a couple years ago and I didn't enjoy the experience much. Call me a wuss but I'm hoping that I don't ever get another one. So here's hoping that my uncomfortable cleaning is the end of it and I can go on about my business for another 6 months or a year.
